Everyone agrees that addiction ruins everything. If you are suffering from addiction to a certain dangerous substances, the first thing being ruined by your addiction is your physical health. Addiction urges you to everlastingly consume the substance with ever increasing dosage until your body is severely damaged. The damage occurs when you are no longer able to physically resist your strong inclination to consume the substance. If you ever try to resist, you will suffer the tremendously painful withdrawal symptoms that can be very dangerous for your health and even fatal. If you don’t resist and you continue your consumption, you’ll mostly end up dying because of overdose. Proper addiction treatment is necessary to secure your physical condition against those two unfavorable extremes.
The second thing being ruined by your addiction is your mind. You have to be aware that addiction causes not only physical dependence, but also psychological once. While you are least likely able to physically resist the urge to everlastingly consume the substance because of the painful physical sufferings called the withdrawal symptoms, you are also least likely able to psychologically resist the same urge because when you’ve been severely addicted, your mental craving, and craze, to consume the substance will be ever increasing. If you try to resist, you’ll suffer severe mental anxiety that eventually causes serious depression. There have been many substance abusers who perform suicide because of their severe mental dependence on the substance.
The third thing being ruined by your addiction is your social life. When you have become an abuser, the sole purpose of your life is to unceasingly procure the substance that causes your addiction. You’ll start forgetting about your family, your job, your study, and everything that you actually have to do as an individual living in a community. As the result, you’ll suffer marital problem, you’ll lose your job, you’ll get expelled from your school, and you’ll suffer many other social problems that make it almost impossible for you to have a brighter future.
