The first thing you should do when cleaning your mouth is floss between your teeth. When you brush your teeth, you are getting rid of the bacteria on the surface of the teeth. There will always be some bacteria left between each tooth. That is where flossing becomes your best friend. Flossing between each tooth with make sure you don’t miss any bacteria that may be hiding.
Some people avoid flossing their teeth because they say it is uncomfortable or it doesn’t fit. Those people will have plaque that builds up on their teeth. Once the plaque turns into tartar, the only way to remove it is by going to the dentist and having a procedure done. The tartar can eventually harm your gums and give you gingivitis. To avoid having these infections, simply floss between each tooth before you brush. It is better to floss before brushing so if any plaque comes out from between your teeth, it won’t stick around.
